What's the catch?
No catch. The State of New Mexico (SoNM) and Local Public Body
(LPB) entities fully cover the cost of Virta (valued at over
$3,000) for you and your eligible family members with type 2
diabetes or prediabetes who are covered under the SoNM’s
Presbyterian Health Plan or BCBS New Mexico health plan. Virta is
also available for covered members with a BMI of 25 or greater who
are interested in safe and sustainable weight loss.

Virta is available to employees and eligible dependents of the
State of New Mexico (SoNM) and Local Public Body (LPB) entities
between the ages of 18 and 79 who are enrolled in a
State-sponsored health plan through Presbyterian Health Services
or BCBS New Mexico. This benefit is currently being offered to
those with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and/or a BMI of 25 or
greater. There are some medical conditions that would exclude
patients from the Virta treatment. Start the application process
